FireKing Turtle Series • Model 4R1822-C

The FireKing Turtle 4R1822-C is a space-saving 4-drawer fireproof file cabinet for letter- or legal-size hanging files, combining UL Class 350 1-hour fire and impact protection with a 22-1/8" cabinet depth.

This four-drawer vertical fire-rated file provides higher-capacity document storage for offices, records departments, medical facilities, schools, and government agencies where floor space and aisle clearance matter. Letter-size hanging folders file front-to-back, while legal-size hanging folders file side-to-side. Its recessed pulls and space-saving depth allow it to fit where a standard 25" or 31" deep fireproof file cabinet may be too large.

The Turtle combines insulated steel construction, a standard 4-pin key lock, water-resistant design, and ETL-verified digital-media protection. Compare it with other FireKing file cabinets and safes when choosing the right level of storage capacity, security, and fire protection.

Loading Dock or Curbside Delivery

FREE

For loading-dock delivery, your facility must have dock-height receiving and the ability to unload the pallet. For curbside delivery, the carrier lowers the pallet to ground level and leaves it outside at the nearest safely accessible hard surface. Moving the cabinet inside, unpacking, placement, and packaging removal are not included.

Inside Doorway or Garage Delivery

Add $195.00

The carrier moves the packaged cabinet through one accessible ground-level exterior doorway or into an accessible garage. The cabinet remains packaged. Final-room placement, unpacking, stairs, and packaging removal are not included. 3 stairs MAX allowance for delivery.

Full-Service Set-in-Place Delivery

Add $425.00

The delivery crew moves the cabinet along an approved route to its final location, unpacks and positions it, and removes standard packaging materials. A delivery questionnaire or site review may be required before shipment. 3 stairs MAX allowance for delivery.

Tell us about special access before shipment. Steps, stairs, elevators, narrow doors, tight turns, long carries, restricted tractor-trailer access, small-truck requirements, remote locations, and scheduled or after-hours delivery may require approval and additional charges. Undisclosed conditions can cause delays, redelivery fees, or return and restocking charges.

Fire and Protection Ratings

  • UL Class 350 1-Hour Fire Rated: Tested for one hour with exterior furnace temperatures reaching 1700°F. The Class 350 rating means the interior remains below 350°F to help protect paper records.
  • UL Fire and Impact Rated: The impact test includes heating the loaded cabinet to fire conditions, dropping it 30 feet onto brick and concrete debris, and reheating it to confirm continued protection after a simulated structural collapse.
  • Explosion-Hazard Tested: The Turtle test program includes sudden exposure to 2000°F conditions to confirm the insulated cabinet can withstand extreme heat without an explosive rupture.
  • ETL 30-Minute Digital-Media Protection: Intertek ETL verified for 30 minutes of heat protection for hard drives, CDs, DVDs, and USB flash drives during exposure up to 1550°F.
  • Water-Resistant Construction: Designed to resist water damage from automatic sprinklers and fire hoses. Water resistant does not mean waterproof or suitable for submersion.

FireKing Limited Lifetime Warranty

FireKing’s limited lifetime warranty covers mechanical or operable parts. With prior authorization, associated labor costs are covered for two years from the original purchase date. Proof of purchase and FireKing’s current written terms apply.

If this FireKing file cabinet is damaged while protecting documents from a fire, FireKing will replace the cabinet free of charge and ship the replacement freight collect to the original owner. Freight collect means the recipient is responsible for the replacement cabinet’s freight charge.

    Delivery Issues

    The filing cabinets are great! However, the delivery service is horrible. I called to request the delivery to my garage, which the customer service agent verified was available when I placed my order. However, the delivery was left at the street partially blocking the driveway with no notice that the items were left.
