Choosing your configuration

Drawer count: choose the four-drawer 4R1822-C for greater protected capacity within one cabinet footprint. The two-drawer 2R1822-C suits a smaller record collection, private office, or location where a lower cabinet is easier to use.

Cabinet depth: the Turtle's 22-1/8" depth suits limited aisle space and compact delivery paths. Deeper 25" or 31" FireKing cabinets provide greater filing depth per drawer but require more floor and operating space.

Turtle or Classic: Turtle combines compact depth with general key-lock security. Consider Classic when deeper drawers, a high-security lock, or more lock choices are required.

Delivery & Placement

A delivery-service selection is required. Choose the option that matches your receiving facilities and where the 435-lb. cabinet must be left.

Loading dock Included

Requires dock-height receiving and equipment capable of unloading and moving the pallet. Moving inside, unpacking, final placement, and packaging removal are not included.

Curbside Included

The carrier lowers the pallet to ground level at the nearest safely accessible hard surface outside. You handle moving inside, unpacking, final placement, and packaging removal.

Inside doorway / garage Add $195

The carrier moves the packaged cabinet through one accessible ground-level exterior doorway or into an accessible garage. The cabinet remains packaged. Final-room placement, unpacking, packaging removal, and unapproved stair carries are not included. Any steps require advance disclosure and approval.

Full-service placement Add $425

The crew follows an approved route to the final location, unpacks and positions the cabinet, and removes standard packaging. A delivery questionnaire or site review may be required. Any steps require advance disclosure and approval.

Access & placement

  • Stairs: advance disclosure and approval required; maximum three steps.
  • Delivery route: verify the complete route, including elevators, narrow doors, tight turns, and long carries.
  • Truck access: disclose restricted tractor-trailer access, small-truck requirements, and remote locations.
  • Scheduling: disclose scheduled or after-hours delivery requirements before shipment.
  • Floor: level and capable of supporting the cabinet and its fully loaded weight.
  • Drawer clearance: allow at least 41-1/8" of total depth from the back of the cabinet with a drawer fully extended; keep aisles and doorways clear.
  • Ordering: select the cabinet finish and required delivery service before completing the order.

Special access or delivery conditions may require approval and additional charges. Undisclosed conditions can cause delays, redelivery fees, or return and restocking charges.

Warranty & Resources

FireKing’s limited lifetime warranty covers mechanical or operable parts. With prior authorization, associated labor costs are covered for two years from the original purchase date. Proof of purchase and FireKing’s current written terms apply.

If the cabinet is damaged while protecting documents from a fire, FireKing will replace it free of charge and ship the replacement freight collect to the original owner. Freight collect means the recipient is responsible for the replacement cabinet’s freight charge.

    Delivery Issues

    The filing cabinets are great! However, the delivery service is horrible. I called to request the delivery to my garage, which the customer service agent verified was available when I placed my order. However, the delivery was left at the street partially blocking the driveway with no notice that the items were left.
