Thermal Binding Spines (8.5-Inch) for Unibind and Peleman Systems
The Unibind Spine Cover, produced by Peleman Industries, is a versatile thermal binding spine specifically designed for landscape-format documents. Unlike the UniCover Flex, these spines do not have attached acetate covers, allowing you to use your own covers or Unibind CoverSets for customization. Each spine includes a tear-away paper guide for easy binding with any Unibind machine. The UniCover Spine, formerly known as SteelBack spines, comes in various capacities and has been upgraded for use with crimping machines. Ideal for users who prefer binding without a plastic cover, these spines are perfect for a range of landscape-format binding needs, including:
- Letter-Size Landscape Books
- 11x17 Landscape Books
- Top-Bound Landscape Documents

How To Use Unibind Spine Covers
To use the 8" Unibind Spine Covers, choose the correct spine size for your landscape document. Neatly align your pages, insert them into the spine cover, and, if you're using your own covers, add them to the front and back before placing the document into the spine. Insert the spine cover into the Unibind thermal binding machine and follow the machine’s instructions. Once the machine heats the spine and securely binds the document, let it cool for a few minutes. Finally, remove the temporary guides at the perforation, leaving your document neatly bound.
