The UniBinder 8.2 is a fully automated, high-capacity thermal binding machine that binds, automatically crimps, and cools documents from 1 to 340 sheets.

Built for medium to large offices, schools, print shops, corporate departments, and on-demand document production, it creates polished book-style reports, manuals, proposals, training materials, and client presentations without punching pages or threading combs, coils, or wire.

Two binding compartments, one automatic crimping compartment, and two cooling compartments support an efficient production flow. The machine can process up to eight smaller documents simultaneously, depending on their combined thickness and the covers selected.

Choose the UniBinder 8.2 when: You regularly bind thick books, produce several documents in one session, or want automatic crimping for a tighter and more consistent finished spine. Compatible Peleman/Unibind thermal binding covers are required and sold separately.

Capacity depends on the complete document. The 340-sheet maximum assumes standard 20 lb. paper and a compatible 36 mm cover. A 36 mm spine holds approximately 230 sheets of 32 lb. vPaper. Tabs, dividers, laminated sheets, inserts, and heavier paper reduce the sheet count, and not every cover style is offered in every spine size.

Bind, Crimp, and Cool in 3 Steps

The guided process is easy to repeat for occasional office users and productive enough for departments preparing multiple documents.

Step 1

Prepare and Bind

Select the cover size that matches the complete document, align the pages inside the cover, and place the steel spine into either binding compartment. The heating cycle starts automatically.

Step 2

Automatically Crimp

When binding is complete, move the document into the automatic crimping compartment. Crimping closes the spine around the pages and presses their edges deeper into the resin.

Step 3

Cool Before Handling

Transfer the document to either cooling compartment and keep it upright until the resin has fully set. Cooling completes the bond and helps preserve a straight, professional spine.

Production tip: Match every cover to the document before beginning a batch. The machine can bind and cool multiple documents, but total throughput varies with document thickness, cover type, and the time allowed for each finished book to cool completely.

Choose the Right Binding Cover

The cover determines the finished appearance, available spine capacity, and how the document opens. Select a compatible Peleman/Unibind thermal cover based on the final page count and presentation style.

Binding covers are sold separately. Measure the complete document—including covers, tabs, dividers, and inserts—when choosing a spine. If the document falls between sizes, select the next suitable size rather than forcing pages into an undersized cover.

Warranty and Ownership Information

The UniBinder 8.2 includes a 1-year manufacturer warranty. Warranty coverage is subject to Peleman’s current written terms, exclusions, proof-of-purchase requirements, and service authorization procedures.

Optional extended replacement coverage may be available when the machine is purchased. Contact Advanced Filing Concepts before attempting service or arranging a return or replacement. Binding covers and other consumables are sold separately and are not included with the machine warranty.
