Unibind "Lay Flat" Standard Hard Covers, Portrait Format, Optional Customization
Unibind Hard Covers deliver a premium, steel-spine hardcover finish for proposals, reports, and client presentations. Compatible with all Unibind thermal binding machines, these portrait covers come in eight colors - Black, Dark Blue, Aluminum, White, Quartz, Azur, Dark Green, and Bordo - with optional window cuts and metallic foil stamping for a branded look.

Spine Size & Sheet Capacity
Capacities are approximate. vPaper, 32 lb lay-flat paper, is thicker than standard 20 lb copy paper and reduces sheet counts. vPaper is sold separately.

- Foil stamping: Metallic foil logos or text for a fully branded look.
- Die plate for new logos: New foil stamped logo orders require a one-time die plate setup charge. This charge is required once per new logo or new artwork, not once per box.
- Repeat logo orders: If we already have your approved die plate on file, choose the existing logo/die plate option and do not add a new die plate charge.

Custom Foil Die Plate Charge*
New custom foil logo orders require a one-time die plate setup charge. The die plate is used to create your custom foil imprint and is charged once per new logo or new artwork, not once per box ordered. If you are placing a repeat order with an existing approved die plate, you do not need to add the die plate charge again. When selecting options above: choose Existing logo / die plate for repeat orders, or New logo / new die plate when submitting new artwork.

Are these covers compatible with my Unibind machine?
Yes. Unibind Hard Covers work with UniBinder 60, 120, 8.1, and 8.2. If you’re unsure of your model, see compatible machines or contact us.
How do I choose the right spine size?
Count pages, note your paper type, 20 lb copy paper versus 32 lb vPaper, pick the closest capacity in the chart, then crimp for a perfect fit. Using heavier paper or inserts? Size up one step.
Is vPaper recommended
Yes! Using vPaper will ensure maximum print quality that brings out the best in all inkjet, offset, and laser/toner-based equipment. You will achieve enhanced, rich color that truly "pops" compared to standard white presentation paper. Also, the patented "twist" allows each page to lay flat when the cover is laying open on a table.
Can I add branding like logos or titles?
Yes. Choose metallic foil stamping and/or an optional window cut to display a title page or logo. New foil logo orders require a one-time die plate setup charge. Repeat orders using an existing approved die plate do not require a new die plate charge.
Is the die plate charge per box?
No. The die plate is a one-time setup charge for a new logo or new artwork. If you order multiple boxes with the same new logo, the die plate charge only needs to be added once. If we already have your approved die plate on file, you do not need to add it again.
What colors are available?
Black, Dark Blue, Aluminum, White, Quartz, Azur, Dark Green, and Bordo. Contact us for custom finishes or special runs.
How are the covers packaged?
Each box contains 10 covers of the same size and color. Volume price breaks are available.
Are larger capacity covers available?
Larger capacity covers may be available upon request. Please contact us directly for custom or larger capacity covers above Size 120, including special size needs not shown in the standard selection.
What’s the typical lead time?
Standard colors and sizes ship quickly. Customizations such as window cuts and foil stamping may add time for artwork approval and production.
