The FireKing CF4436-MD-LGL End-Tab Filing Cabinet is purpose-built for high-density shelf filing of legal-size end-tab folders. Three fixed steel shelves support 160 lbs. each, providing rugged capacity for medical charts, case files, and archival records. Proudly made in the U.S.A., this cabinet includes a UL-listed high-security key lock (optional E-Lock) and a durable powder-coat finish. Certified to UL Class 350, 1-Hour for fire protection at 1700°F and backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

FireKing storage cabinets are built to order and ship via freight. Delivery method and access information are required at checkout to ensure smooth fulfillment. Available options include:

  • Cabinet Color: Choose from 11+ standard finishes.
  • Lock Type: Standard key lock (included) or optional E-Lock.
  • Delivery Type: Shipping to a residential or commercial location?
  • Freight Method:
    • Dock Delivery – Free (commercial dock, left in crate)
    • Liftgate Delivery – Add $95 (lowered to ground; curb/first door)
    • Lobby or Garage Delivery – Add $295 (placed just inside; left crated)
    • Full-Service Delivery – Add $495 (room of choice, uncrated, debris removed)
  • Semi-Truck Access Required: A 53' tractor trailer must be able to access the delivery address.

Additional charges may apply for stairs, rescheduling, or inaccessible locations. Missed deliveries/refusals may result in a 25% restocking fee.

Is this cabinet for hanging folders?

No. This model is designed for end-tab shelf filing, not hanging folders. For hanging files, consider a FireKing vertical or lateral file cabinet.

Will legal and letter both work?

This version is optimized for legal-size end-tab folders. For letter-size end-tab filing, choose the corresponding letter variant.

Will it fit through standard doors?

At 36" W × 19 1/4" D, it can pass a 36" doorway with tight clearance. Verify turns, hallways, and elevator dimensions in advance.

What is the shelf capacity?

Each fixed shelf supports up to 160 lbs. when the load is evenly distributed.

Can I upgrade to an electronic lock?

Yes. An E-Lock (electronic keypad) is available as an upgrade.
