Crystal Flex Covers - UniCover Flex Clear Unibind Covers

Crystal Flex Covers are clear binding covers made by Unibind (Peleman), designed for professional thermal binding. Often called plastic report covers, they feature one crystal-clear side and one matte side, so you can showcase your first page with your preferred finish. Each cover uses Peleman’s patented SteelResin™ adhesive for a secure, permanent bind that keeps documents looking polished and durable over time.

What are Crystal Flex Covers? Crystal Flex combines the glossy visibility of SteelCrystal with the easy handling of SteelMat, making them ideal for reports, board materials, manuals, menus, and catalogs. They are designed exclusively for Unibind/Peleman thermal binding systems and require no customization to use.

How to Use Crystal Flex Covers:

  1. Select the appropriate size cover from the chart above.
  2. Insert your printed pages evenly into the spine of the cover.
  3. Place the document into your Unibind Thermal Binding Machine.
  4. Once heated and cooled, your pages will be securely bound and presentation-ready.

Can I customize Crystal Flex covers with my logo?

Yes. While standard Crystal Flex covers are stocked plain, we offer custom foil stamping and printing services for branding and personalization.

Are Crystal Flex covers reusable?

No. Covers aren’t reusable for a new project, but they are editable for the same book. You can reheat the bound cover, swap or remove 1–2 sheets, and then rebind. For a different document, use a new cover.

Do they protect against spills or moisture?

Yes, the clear plastic offers light moisture resistance, helping shield documents from spills and handling wear.

Which Unibind machines are compatible?

Crystal Flex covers are compatible with all current Unibind/Peleman thermal binding machines, including the UniBinder 60, 120, 8.1, and 8.2.

Can I mix paper weights inside one cover?

Yes, as long as the total sheet count stays within the cover’s capacity listed in the size chart.

    These are very excellent covers for the types of real estate presentation binders I make. My only wish is that you had a sampler package where we could purchase several different sizes in one package. Shipping and customer service was excellent and I will be a repeat customer!
