Add a Die Plate - Necessary for New Orders
Add a Die Plate is a one-time setup charge required for new custom foil stamped logo orders on Unibind hard covers. The die plate is used to create your custom foil imprint and is needed when submitting a new logo, new artwork, or a changed design for foil stamping.
When This Charge Is Required
- New logo orders: Required when adding custom foil stamping with a logo or artwork we do not already have on file.
- New artwork: Required when changing your logo, layout, imprint size, or foil stamping design.
- One-time setup: Charged once per new logo or new artwork, not once per box of covers.
- Repeat orders: Not required if we already have your approved die plate on file and you are reordering the same imprint.
Important Ordering Note
This item should be added to your cart only when placing a new custom foil stamped Unibind hard cover order. If you are ordering multiple boxes of covers with the same new logo, add this die plate charge only once.
If you are reordering covers with an existing approved die plate, you do not need to add this product again.

- Choose the custom foil stamping options on the cover product page.
- If this is a new logo or new artwork, add this die plate setup charge to your cart once.
- Upload your vector artwork when available, or contact us if you need help with artwork setup.
Artwork Reminder
Vector artwork is preferred for the cleanest foil stamping results. Common vector file formats include AI, EPS, and editable PDF files. If you are unsure whether your artwork will work, please send it to us and we can review it before production.
Frequently Asked Questions - Die Plate Setup
Is this charge per box?
No. The die plate setup charge is not per box. It is charged once per new logo or new artwork. If you order multiple boxes of Unibind hard covers with the same new logo, add this charge only once.
Do I need this for a repeat order?
No. If we already have your approved die plate on file and you are reordering the same foil stamped logo, you do not need to add this item again.
When do I need a new die plate?
A new die plate is needed when you are submitting a new logo, changing the artwork, changing the imprint layout, or creating a new foil stamped design.
Does the die plate ship to me?
No. This item is a setup charge used to produce your custom foil stamped covers. It does not ship separately.
What artwork format should I provide?
Vector artwork is preferred. AI, EPS, or editable PDF files usually produce the best foil stamping results. If you do not have vector artwork, contact us and we can review your file.
Can I order this by itself?
