The FireKing ICF7240-F Fire-Rated Cabinet delivers UL-certified fire protection and extra-wide capacity in a 72" tall, 40" wide cabinet. Four fully adjustable shelves are each rated for 160 lbs., making it ideal for oversized binders, archive cartons, and bulk supplies. Proudly made in the U.S.A., it includes a UL-listed high-security key lock (optional E-Lock), heavy-duty steel construction, and a durable powder-coat finish in multiple colors. Carries a UL 1-Hour Class 350 fire rating and a limited lifetime warranty.

FireKing storage cabinets are built to order and ship via freight. Delivery method and access information are required at checkout to ensure smooth fulfillment. Available options include:

How fireproof is the ICF7240-F cabinet?
It is UL Class 350 rated for 1 hour, keeping contents below 350°F during a 1700°F fire. This protects paper records and basic media from heat damage.
Can I hang letter/legal folders inside?
Not directly. This is a shelf cabinet. You can add a file drawer accessory on some models, or choose a FireKing vertical/lateral file cabinet for high-density hanging folders.
Will it fit through a standard doorway?
Likely not as easily. At 40" wide, it will not pass through standard 36" doorways the wide way. But it is only 19-1/4" deep. Ultimately, you'll need to verify if your building has double-door access, larger door openings, elevator dimensions, and turning clearances before delivery.
What is the shelf weight capacity?
Each shelf is rated up to 160 lbs. when the load is evenly distributed.
Can I upgrade to an electronic lock?
