Choosing your configuration
Storage cabinet vs. file cabinet: choose the ICF7240-F when your protected contents are better suited to adjustable shelves, such as binders, boxed files, manuals, archive materials, or mixed supplies. Choose a traditional fireproof file cabinet when high-density hanging-folder storage and daily file retrieval are the priority.
40" wide format: the extra-wide cabinet provides more shelf area for oversized binders, larger archive collections, and shared departmental storage than narrower fire-rated cabinets.
1-hour vs. 2-hour protection: this UL Class 350 1-hour model is suited to general protected paper storage. A 2-hour cabinet may be more appropriate when a greater fire-protection margin is required.
Delivery & Placement
FireKing storage cabinets are built to order and shipped by freight. At approximately 935 lb., the ICF7240-F requires advance delivery planning. Commercial and residential delivery are available, but site conditions must meet the selected service requirements.
Dock delivery Free
Delivered to an accessible commercial loading dock and left in the crate. The receiving location is responsible for unloading and final placement.
Liftgate delivery +$95
The cabinet is lowered from the freight truck to ground level and left curbside or at the first accessible door.
Lobby / garage +$295
The cabinet is moved inside to the first accessible covered area and remains crated.

Access & placement
- Truck access: a 53' tractor-trailer must be able to access the delivery address.
- Doorways: verify all exterior and interior doorway clearances before shipment.
- Hallways and turns: confirm adequate clearance for corners, turns, long carries, and moving equipment.
- Elevators: verify elevator door opening, interior dimensions, and weight capacity.
- Steps: delivery allows no more than three small steps, subject to carrier approval and site conditions.
- Floor capacity: the final location must be capable of supporting the 935-lb. cabinet plus the weight of its contents.
- Remote or restricted locations: inaccessible delivery conditions, remote areas, rescheduling, or stair conditions may result in delivery refusal or additional charges.
Missed deliveries or refused shipments may result in a 25% restocking fee. Confirm all site-access details before the cabinet ships.
