Choose the spine size according to the total document thickness, not sheet count alone. Standard 20 lb. copy paper allows a higher sheet capacity, while thicker 32 lb. presentation paper such as vPaper requires more spine space.

Sheet capacities are approximate. Tabs, inserts, dividers, laminated pages, folded sheets, photos, and specialty paper increase the total document thickness. When a document is close to the listed capacity, choose the next larger spine size.
