End tab folders are designed for shelf filing systems, with the tab positioned on the side of the folder for easy visibility when stored on open shelving. They are ideal for healthcare, legal, and business environments that require quick file access.
End tab folders are typically available in standard letter size (12.25 Wide x 9.5" High) and legal size (15.25" Wide x 9.5" High), but specialty sizes such as mini folders are also be available for unique applications.
End tab folders have tabs on the side for visibility in open-shelf filing systems, while top tab folders have tabs on the top for use in traditional filing cabinets.
End tab file folders are not designed for use in standard drawer filing cabinets, as their side tabs make them too wide to fit properly. Instead, end tab folders are specifically intended for shelf filing systems, where labels are easily visible from the side for quick identification and retrieval.
Some end tab folders come with built-in fasteners to keep documents secure. You can also add fasteners to folders without them using adhesive fastener strips.
