While the main focus of KireKing's classic lateral filing cabinets is their fire-rated design, they are also attractive and functional, making them the perfect investment for your home or business. Classic Lateral File Cabinets offer unique features and benefits that make them truly stand out. The FireKing Lateral 2-drawer filing cabinet is 27 3/4" high, 44 1/2" wide, and 22 1/8" deep, making this our largest lateral file cabinet.
Filing Arrangements
This unit has drawer bodes that are built with high sides for use with hanging file folders. No additional frames are needed. The unit will accomodate legal filing side-to-side. Each file includes 2 cross hangers per drawer. The cross hangers allow you to file three rows of letter size files front to back. **An optional adapter hanger may be purchased to accomodate letter filling in a side-to-side format.
UL® Class 350 1-Hour with Impact Certification
The FireKing lateral file cabinet has passed Class 350 certification requirements, approved by Underwriters Laboratories. The test is conducted by placing one of the file cabinets in a special oven that heats the unit to 1700 degrees for one hour. Then, the unit is immediately hoisted 30 feet into the air and dropped to a concrete pad. The unit is then opened, and contents cannot have fire damage. Thanks to the steel lattice reinforcement, FireKing offers impact protection on all sides of their fire-resistant cabinets.
